** Deepavali - 2007 **

I never had had such a dull Deepavali as this before. Even when I had been in far off places like Guwahati, I used to find a way to celebrate the festival. This time it was different. If not for the kid at home, it could have gone down as an absolutely silent Deepavali for us. But Kaushal, being just 5, was thrilled by crackers and he had a wonderful day. We just watched him celebrate. I just stayed put inside our home, watching all those stupid TV programs. The day ended in an even worse note - watching India lose to Pakistan in the one day game. My cellfone was in silent mode and when I found a few missed calls at the end of the day, I didnt even return the calls and the messages; decided to just let it go. Just one more lazy day in my life.... I should find a way to lift myself above this laziness.
