** Madrid Verdict **

The judgement for the 2004 Train bombings at Madrid, which killed 190 people, has been delivered. 21 of the accused were found guilty; 7 were acquitted. 3 have been awarded 40,000 years in jail - out of which, they only will serve a maximum of just 40 years !!

Had the bombings taken place in India, the court case would drag on and on; witnesses will turn hostile; politicians will offer support to terrorists in the name of "minority" - and the case would drag on and on for atleast 10 years (the minimum!). And if we happen to get a verdict after 10 years, it would be a "life sentence" for the worst crime (do you know that "life sentence" in India is just for 14 years .. and even that could be reduced during the term !!)
